Peach and citrus aromas lead to a palate that is fresh and vibrant. Displaying minerality, volume and a pleasing length. This wine shows Chardonnay at its varietal best unencumbered by oak.

Winemakers Notes: The two clones were harvested and fermented separately. Post fermentation the wines were regularly stirred to enhance the mouthfeel. The Mendoza fruit was allowed to go through malolactic fermentation to soften the wines acidity.

Viticulture Notes: Produced entirely from grapes off our Chaytors Road vineyard, using Mendoza and C16 Chardonnay clone fruit. The vines were shoot and fruit thinned, together with some light leaf plucking to ensure proper fruit ripening.

This versatile little number wins the hearts of all who try it. It's oozing with zesty lemonand lime aromas and complemented by melon and honey with a clean bite of stewed apple on the palate that is round, rich and smooth with a long finish.

Lone Goat is the old Giesen site at Burnham and the grapes used for vthis wine are from 25 year old vines. This is a stunning winefor not much cost. The nose and palate are dominated by complex citrus characters with lime notes that delelop in the mouth; the mineral acidity, balance and long clean finish belie the 15 gms of residual sugar. The Giesen Brothers made some outstanding rieslings over the years from this vineyard nd the tradition is continued here.

This wine epitomizes all the classic virtues of sauvignon blanc from New Zealand's Marlborough region. The wine practically leaps out of the glass with its aromatic intensity combining lemon, mineral, green bean and hints of gooseberry and tropical fruits. For the wine nerds out there ...... primo fruit, 1/3 hand harvested from the Awatere Valley and the rest machine picked from thr Wairau Valley. Cool fermented at 13C followed by 3 months on full fermentation lees. Filtered but not fined prior to bottling.

Classic yet understated Marlborough Sauvignon. A dry wine with pungent aromas of cut grass, snow pea and passion fruit backed by added texture and complexity from lees ageing. Superbly balanced with a palate of classic, herbaceous and citrus fruit complementing the wines backbone of vibrant and lively acidity. Characteristically long and crisp finish.

Indiviidual batches were fermented seperately at different temperatures, with a variety of yeast strains to enhance the complexities of aroma, texture and flavour. Fermentation was stopped by chilling to achieve a refreshing balance.The young wine spent the winter on lees with periodic stirring to further enrich the palate texture. After blending and stabilising the wine was bottled young to capture the fresh fruit aromatics.

Truely, the vintage of the decade! 

Aromas of sweet floral aromas of jasmine and honeysuckle combine with grapefruit and lemon characters underpinned by a mineral thread. With a splash of residual sweetness , this wine is very moreish. The sweet entry is balanced by a bright acidity and retained spritziness, which give the wine crispness and ‘liveliness’. It has great length and is at once mouthfilling and refreshing.

Intense typical Sauvignon characters strike the nose. Look for aromas of lime zest, white peach and passionfruit. The limey character makes for a very refreshing palate on this wine but it is still approachable and mouth filling. It has a lingering mineral texture which gives good length to the wine. This Riesling is off-dry to medium in style with aromas of citrus and white peach. The residual sugar is well balanced the wines fine thread of natural acidity. The palate is layered with lemon meringue, lime and grapefruit notes with added minerality. Mid palate weight has been enhanced by the use of lees ageing to increase the mouth feel and extract. Expected to age well where classic secondary Riesling characters will evolve.

Pale golden yellow with an underlying green hue this wine has avibrant nose of fresh tropical fruits like melons and peaches combined with some toasty vanillin oak and a hint of funky, developed cashew nuttiness. On the palate the wine has moderate acidity and a rich creamy texture from malolactic fermentation and lees stirring. These more developed notes from winemaking techniques are held in balance however by abundant fresh fruit and a focused mineral acidity. Ripe fruit and sweet oak give lasting concentration within a full bodied yet dry finish.

Aged for 6-9 months in French and American Oak barrels. This Spanish red is red cherry colour, aromas of red fruits with balsamic notes. Indian Pale Ales were developed by the English brewers for troops serving throughout the Empire. To survive the long sea journey, large quantities of hops were added as a preservative. The defining essence of Emerson's 1812 IPA is the sheer 'Englishness'!

The beer has a delightful marmelade character with toffee maltiness, balance by complex, orangey and earth hop notes in both the aroma and palate. Tangy hops dominate the beer's lingering, dry finish.

A wonderfully drinkable interpretation of a classic English ale style. Bookbinder bitter is brewed with a blend of 4 malts and a combination of two classic Nelson grown European hops (Fuggles & Riwaka).
