'Whero' Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2009
Silver Medal - NZ International Wine Show 2009.
Classic Marlborough varietal of freshly mown grass, with some white flowers - blossom, lime and grapefruit pith. Minerals characters of slate and flint are evident with a touch of powde or talc.
The palate is fresh and bright with ripe zingy acid. There are lime, chalky ae minral flavours with good texture leading to a long finish, typical of this style of wine from the Awatere Valley.
