Lawson's Dry Hills Mt Vernon Marlborough unoaked Chardonnay 2009

Red apple and citrus immediately jump out of the glass with peach aromas in the background. Crisp and dry the palate again shows lovely concentrated fruit that is combined with a subtle creamy texture. The wine dispalys classic chardonnay varietal character unemcumbered by neither oak or malolactic fermentation.

This wine is made in a style to highlight the natural fruit characters we see here in chardonnay and we recommend drinking the wine young; it will however develop lovely toasty secondary characters over the next couple of years.
