Barking Dog Hawkes Bay Chardonnay 2008
The excellent 2008 harvest has produced a round, soft wine with overtones of grapefruit and pineapple. The small prportion of oak aging on yeast lees has added some complex mealy, biscuity characters to the wine, but it still shows the fresh fruit of Chardonnay. The essentially un-oaked character of this wine will allow aging for a further 3-4 years.
